Worx to play at ALS benefit Saturday

Gulf Coast-based rock band Worx will perform Saturday morning at an Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis benefit walk being held at Hank Aaron Stadium.

Registration for the event starts at 9 a.m., with the walk starting at 10 a.m.; activities will last until about 11:30 a.m. An organizer of the event said Worx' performance would begin about 9 a.m.

Other attractions include face-painting for children and food. Admission is free, though donations are encouraged. Proceeds from the event go to support causes related to treatment of and research on ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
